Description
Course Overview: 2-Day Precision Reloading Intensive
This two-day course is designed for experienced competitors and hunters seeking to master high-precision reloading techniques. For a fee of $950.00, which covers all courseware and range fees, participants learn a systematic methodology for building highly accurate cartridges capable of maintaining under 1 MOA of accuracy.
Day 1: Technical Instruction and Component Preparation
The first day focuses on the technical aspects of brass work and cartridge assembly.
The first day focuses on the technical aspects of brass work and cartridge assembly.
Key areas of instruction include:
- Chamber and Case Metrics:Â Precise measuring of rifle chambers and fired cases, as well as shoulder bumping.
- Advanced Case Preparation: Discuss and demonstrate techniques for neck turning, primer pocket uniforming, flash-hole deburring, and proper case cleaning.
- Load Development: Understanding chamber pressures, trim length, and the impact of seating depth and ogive on accuracy.
Day 2: Field Testing and Validation
The second day involves practical application at the range. Students test the rounds loaded on the first day to analyze precision and group consistency. Activities include:
The second day involves practical application at the range. Students test the rounds loaded on the first day to analyze precision and group consistency. Activities include:
- Zero Validation:Â 100- and 200-yard checks to confirm rifle performance.
- Velocity Checking:Â Using chronographs to analyze the consistency of the loads.
- Refinement Methods: Learning techniques for continuous load development and refinement to achieve the smallest possible group size for a specific rifle.
Participant Requirements:
To ensure successful results during the field-testing portion, students must arrive with equipment capable of the precision levels discussed.
