Rifle Brass Annealing Service
Available to Graduates and Current Enrolled Students
Reloading Institute has invested in the latest technology in induction annealing!
AMP Annealing System
Extended the life of your expensive match and hunting rifle brass by annealing it and returning the elasticity that’s been lost due to work hardening. Annealed brass is more consistent and shoots smaller groups by returning consistent neck tension.
SO, YOU WANT TO START ANNEALING YOUR BRASS WITH US!!
Contact us to make an appointment. Bring your clean but not resized brass with you. After a short training session, you'll start annealing your brass at $25.00/100
OR
Send us your corncob tumbled or ultrasonic cleaned brass, and we can anneal them for you for:
$35.00/100 + Shipping

What is Induction Annealing?
Induction annealing is the process of softening the necks of cases, through heating in an electrically contactless manner. This is achieved by placing the cases within a magnetic field, which induces eddy currents within the brass. Technically, the lower the resistivity of the brass, or the higher the intensity of the magnetic field, the greater the eddy currents and, consequently, the greater the heating effect. There is no heating element, as such; the only thing to get hot is the case. The magnetic field is focused to maximize the eddy currents and heating in the location where it is specifically required, i.e., the neck and shoulder.
There is no heating element as such; the only thing to get hot is the case.
All program settings are established by laboratory micro-Vickers hardness testing.
Precise annealing ensures cases return to virgin hardness
No temperature pastes to deal with, just select the program and start annealing.
Pilots fit cartridges from 17 Hornet to 460 Weatherby. Check with us to determine which cases we support.
The annealed cartridge has preloaded programs for each brand of brass cartridge and is designed to anneal BRASS CARTRIDGES ONLY. Nickel-plated brass cases are also acceptable.
